Vince Thorne is a well-respected professional freelance photographer who has recently moved to the Portsmouth area. Encouraged by the wonderful work done by the Portsmouth Hospitals Charity, Vince has produced this 2025 calendar by photographing Portsmouth and the local area over the last 18 months.
Portsmouth Hospitals Charity is a charity which raises funds to make a positive difference for patients, their families and the staff who support their care, by improving facilities, purchasing equipment, supporting research and innovation across the hospital.
Calendars can be purchased online and also from Victoriana, 76 & 83 Marmion Road, Southsea, Emsworth Gallery, 2 Queen Street, Emsworth and from The Queen Alexandra Hospital Cancer Unit, in Portsmouth.

Vince Thorne Bespoke Photography
Vince Thorne is a well-respected, professional freelance photographer now based in Portsmouth. Specialising in a variety of areas, from weddings to portrait, landscape and commercial photography, his distinctive, contemporary style of work, is expressed through his stunning and imaginative visuals.
The photography journey all began when he was introduced at a young age to the Kodak Instamatic. Fast forward 40 years, and he has a successful and thriving business, Vince Thorne Bespoke Photography.
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything”.
For Vince, photography is much more than just taking a photo, being able to capture a specific moment, that you can look back on for years to come, is just like travelling in time.
Besides his passion for photography, Vince is an avid lover of music. With an impressive collection of musical memorabilia, he has also met the likes of ABBA group members, Benny, Bjorn and Frida.
Portsmouth Hospitals Charity
Portsmouth Hospitals Charity raises funds to make a positive difference for patients, their families and the staff who support their care. Fundraising is used to help improve facilities, purchase equipment and support research and innovation across the Hospital.
The Cancer and Information Support Centre (sponsored by Portsmouth Hospitals Charity and Macmillan) supports patients with a cancer diagnosis, their family and loved ones with emotional support, complementary therapies and hypnotherapy – all free of charge.
They can listen to your worries, concerns and offer advice and signpost you to other services.
Donations to Portsmouth Hospitals Charity, recently paid for the centre to be refurbished after ten years enhancing the experience for patients and visitors. Pop along to see what a difference your support makes.
